THE BEAUTY OF A LIVING TRADITION
SHAPED BY LANDSCAPE, LIVELIHOOD AND LINEAGE, GUERNSEY WILLOW BASKETS TELL THE STORY OF A PEOPLE WHOSE INGENUITY WAS WOVEN INTO EVERYDAY LIFE. TODAY, THEY ARE BEING REDISCOVERED AS TIMELESS EXPRESSIONS OF CRAFTSMANSHIP, WHERE HERITAGE, BEAUTY AND CONTEMPORARY DESIGN COME TOGETHER.

TRADITIONAL CRAFT. CONTEMPORARY BEAUTY
Through Claire’s work, these extraordinary woven forms are finding new relevance. Still created using the same time-honoured techniques, with every curve and weave shaped by purpose, they connect past, present and future. Once essential tools of island life, they are now recognised as timeless objects of design, equally at home in contemporary interiors, galleries and collections as they once were aboard Guernsey’s fishing boats.
