When Michelin-starred chef Nathan Davies set out to create Vraic on the headland of the north coast of Guernsey, every detail was considered through the lens of place and to create a truly exquisite experience for their guests. We were commissioned to create a collection of willow pieces that would feel at home within Vraic’s distinctive world, beautiful, tactile and made specifically for the spirit of the restaurant.

Traditional Guernsey basketry was, as always, the starting point. A fishing courge was reimagined for the restaurant: resized and reshaped, with a carefully adapted opening to hold Vraic’s house loaves perfectly. Other pieces followed; baskets for the restrooms, a Vraic pannier for gathering sheepskin rugs and lobster pots to adorn the outdoor terrace.
The collection is both decorative and purposeful, bringing the exquisite form and function of this treasured local craft into a restaurant where the incredible landscape, food, hospitality and setting all combine to create a truly one of a kind experience.
